Finding Inspiration in Every Turn - Music Education
Sometimes I ask my students if they have a Check In question for the day. This question is met with a wide array of answers. One that has stood out for me this year came from one of my grade 12's. He posed the question of "What would be your theme song?". He then went on to clarify, "your theme song of the day, of the year or your life". The class took time to carefully think about a song that represented them. That would illustrate their mood of the day or the year. I came away thinking how powerful sound is, whether in a song or our surroundings of life's soundscape. Music and sound are huge parts of the journey.
